Taking the temperature in an ILE

It's daunting to be in an ILE.

 90 kids. 3 teachers.

I understand the concern parents have about the students getting lost in the sea of chatter/class movement.

Although, the model encourages independence, ownership, problem solving and connections with others sometimes a student's voice can get lost. It's usually the loudest voice you can hear over that ocean.

 I was aware of this.

So what can we do so that each child is heard. What can we do to know these students? I was on Edutopia and they used the " I wish the Teacher knew...."

I will be using this form to "check the temperature".
